About Me..

I am a licensed clinical psychologist, yoga instructor, and healthy living enthusiast.

I completed my Doctorate in Psychology at Pace University and also have a Master’s in Education.

I am a former graduate level assistant professor and faculty member of Mount Sinai. I have worked in numerous hospital settings, which sharpened my diagnostic skills and provided the opportunity to work with a range of clients.

In 2011, I started my own private practice with the goal of blending eastern and western medicine to provide a more holistic type of therapy. I am thrilled to help my clients heal, thrive, and reach their goals.

My own experience with chronic pain and chronic illness has led to a great respect for the role of food in healing mental health and physical symptoms. I incorporate nutritional advice to strengthen one’s body and mind.

What People Are Saying

I had never seen a therapist before and Dr. Pernod quickly made me feel at ease. She is one of the most empathetic and caring people I’ve ever met and I took so much away from our sessions together. I can’t recommend her enough.

Nicole is a wonderful psychologist! My daughter met with Nicole to help with anxiety and confidence issues. Week after week, my daughter walked a little taller and felt better about herself. Although it has been a year since she stopped seeing Nicole, my daughter still uses the skills she learned in therapy to get through tough times. We are grateful to have had Nicole’s help and guidance.
